UK School Attended By Princess Anne To Launch China Campus In 2023
A prestigious British boarding school, which counts Princess Anne, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, as one of its distinguished alumni, is launching its first campus in the Panyu district in Guangzhou, China in 2023. Spearheaded by CTF Education Group, owned by Hong Kong jewellery group, Chow Tai Fook, the group plans to launch the Beneden School, which aims to welcome 1,500 students and is set to cost US$17,862 per term.
With the Greater Bay Area becoming integrated, Adrian Cheng, the vice-chairman and group chief executive officer of CTF Education Group, says that CTF Education Group is slated to invest over HK$3 billion for the next few years in upcoming education projects in Hong Kong and Greater China. The vision is to build a unique synergistic education ecosystem that brings together different stakeholders and a myriad of resources to achieve greater synergy, efficiency and opportunities to drive K-12 schools and education forward with sustainable impact.
The CTF Group is one of the private school operators from Hong Kong that are rushing to expand in the Greater Bay Area, riding on an increasing demand for quality education as talent flows into the 11 cities in southern China’s Pearl River Delta. One of its rivals, Hong Kong-listed Wisdom Education International Holdings, is already the largest operator of elementary, middle and high schools in Guangdong.
