The buildings and construction sector consumes 36% of the world energy and accounts for more than one-third of annual carbon emissions. We must rethink the way we design, build and operate our buildings to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement to keep global temperature rise well below 2°C this century, combatting climate change and ensuring the well-being of building occupants and users. We need collective action from real estate developers, enterprises, government, and society to develop ground-breaking solutions for waste reduction, and energy and water efficiency improvements, and healthy and safe buildings.
Do you want to pave the way for sustainability in the built environment? Have an idea to slash the carbon footprint and water usage of buildings? Know of ways to give construction-related waste a new lease of life?
From 10 November 2020 to 1 February 2021, the CapitaLand Sustainability X Challenge is calling for proposals across the globe to make buildings more climate-resilient and resource-efficient. Through the CapitaLand Sustainability X Challenge, CapitaLand aims to source for emerging solutions/technologies globally to solve sustainability challenges impacting our business and accelerate our progress to meet our 2030 Sustainability Master Plan targets.
Two winners will each stand a chance to secure up to S$50,000 in project funding, mentoring by a CapitaLand business leader and the exclusive opportunity to kickstart a viable pilot, test and implement innovations with CapitaLand.
Are you ready for the challenge?
